Who We Are

Rezn The Lion

Discover The Area

The Seqouia National Park

Sequoia National Park, located in the southern Sierra Nevada east of Visalia, California, is a treasured national park of the United States. Established on September 25, 1890, it now safeguards 404,064 acres of forested, mountainous terrain. With a vertical range of nearly 13,000 feet, the park boasts the highest point in the contiguous United States, Mount Whitney, which rises to 14,505 feet above sea level. Situated to the south and connected to Kings Canyon National Park, both are managed as one by the National Park Service under the title Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. In 1976, UNESCO recognized the region as the Sequoia-Kings Canyon Biosphere Reserve.

Saturday Hike

The Trail of 100 Giants is a beautiful and accessible trail located in the Sequoia National Forest, specifically within the Long Meadow Grove. This trail offers a unique opportunity to walk among some of the largest and oldest trees on Earth, the giant sequoias. Here are some highlights:

  • Trail Length: The trail is about 1.3 miles long and is paved, making it accessible for most visitors1.
  • Giant Sequoias: You’ll see around 125 giant sequoias that are more than 10 feet in diameter, with some estimated to be up to 1,500 years old1.
  • Facilities: There are paved parking areas, restrooms, and picnic spots available1.
  • Fees: There is a $12 per vehicle fee to help maintain the facilities1.

Campsite

Long Meadow Group Campground is a remote facility within Sequoia National Forest, in the southern portion of Giant Sequoia National Monument. The campground has 2 pit toilets, bear boxes, picnic tables, and a fire pit. This site has NO cell phone reception.
